2. you can investigate job market on the internet, get resume ready etc. be prepared without job offer or even interview in first 6 months.
3. Since web is a great information source, you will need PC or notebook at home connected. I'd buy one after landing because it's convenient for local service, but if you know how to get a good cheap notebook in China, why not?
4. Going back to school may not be what you want, check out UBC website for programm admission first.
