2. you can investigate job market on the internet, get resume ready etc. be prepared without job offer or even interview in first 6 months.

3. Since web is a great information source, you will need PC or notebook at home connected. I'd buy one after landing because it's convenient for local service, but if you know how to get a good cheap notebook in China, why not?

4. Going back to school may not be what you want, check out UBC website for programm admission first.

5. Air Canada is laying off thousands of workers now.

我计划在五月入境，不知道Vancouver的工作是不是真的很不好找？我学计算机的，有三年软件开发经验，主要用delphi做应用（外企）。没有电脑，找工作会不会很不方便？那边买笔记本合算吗？
不知道在UBC转专业申请读博会不会很困难，想转学心理学。
在加做空姐有什么要求，机会多不多?

1. nothing really helps except GRP, GRE.

2. school is for a bright future, not temp survival. making a living in Canada is not very difficult in my humble opinion, even it means you might try all sorts of jobs first..

3. I think you might want to stick to IT, improve English, start reading everything about Canada, B.C. in the mean time.
